Temecula, CA

Traveling to Southern California was an interesting experience. I’ve been there before but I was very young so I don’t remember a lot. The flight was long from NY but it was at least interesting to look out the window. I landed in San Diego airport, it was cool to see the West Cost Ocean.

Temecula Archway

Temecula has a part of town that’s historic and has kept the same feel as the ‘Old West’. But it has modern stores like Starbucks and Nail salons, kinda funny to see but neat at the same time.

Not a great pic of me because it’s sunny and I’ve been walking a lot so my lipstick is all wonky. But here I am next to an agave plant that’s taller than me. (not a very high bar haha)

mountain view with historic building

Here is another historic building plus a great view of the mountains, everything is brown but I think that’s just how everything is, mostly brown with some splashes of green.

They also had a museum there with some Native American and Colonial artifacts. Here are some arrow heads which are always cool (to me anyway haha)

I had to stop by this local brewery there, 8-Bit Brewing, retro gaming vibe and good beer, they even had a small arcade. Wish this was closer to home, I would love to visit with friends and family. Really good food and beer there, and a nice outside area that even has a cooling mist they have for hot days.

Overall Temecula was nice, always sunny and warm (probably much hotter in the dead of summer). Though the time difference and being surrounded by brown all the time made me miss home. It’s so interesting to me how different the areas of our country can be, the climate, the flora, and the fauna….speaking of which I didn’t see any animals of any kind there, kinda creeped me out once I noticed lol.
