Ohio Part 2 - Cincinnati

Sorry for the unintended hiatus there, April got away from me.

Cincinnati has wonderful architecture and is kinda nice to drive through. I know it seems weird to describe it that way but I was only here for a day and the first thing I noticed was how much garbage was on the ramps to and from the highway. I know all city’s have litter problems so I try not to judge too much, but it was the first thing I saw - broken bottles, fast food wrappers, and even a whole car bumper, on the same ramp. It’s possible they could have even been all from the same person I guess.

But anyway, I really did like the city as a whole for my brief time there. I ate at a really fun German Restaurant Hofbräuhaus, which, turns out, is actually not even in Ohio at all. For context of those who don’t know - Cincinnati is on the border of Ohio and Kentucky, even the airport is called the Cincinnati airport but is actually in Kentucky. Back to the restaurant - it has the look and menu of an old German pub (from what I image it would look like, I’ve never been to Germany). They had spätzle, pretzels of all kinds, -wurst of all kinds, and beers of many varieties.

So, I guess one could argue that I didn’t like Cincinnati much since my favorite place wasn’t even there. But I was only there for a day - passing through as I drove through Ohio. I will no doubt have to go there again and I’m sure I’ll find some nice spots in the city.

Oh and the airport is very nice, and has lots of things to look at and explore if you aren’t rushing for a flight.
