Trip to Awestruck
Awestruck Ciders is a cider house that serves and sells mostly alcoholic flavored ciders, their delicious brews can be bought and enjoyed on site via the taproom or bought in cans and even growlers. They have a great array of flavors that change weekly (though some favorites stay around or repeat sometimes). These flavors range from dry to sweet and have an array of profiles from flowery to berries, and of course apple. They also have a non alcoholic cider that is very delicious and can be enjoyed cold or warm. If you prefer beer or wine they also have a selection of local options of these as well.
Looking for a snack? They always have a small menu usually including chips and queso or salsa, grilled cheese sandwich, a huge soft pretzel, and others. Occasionally they have a food truck or additional food items available. Recently though, they teamed up with a local Mexican food place that delivers for free and is very good (I will give them their own review later because they deserve their own post).
The atmosphere of the location is very industrial but still comfortable. It’s in a big warehouse but they have seating for small or big parties, there is even a bus inside you can sit in. I have only visited in the colder months but they have enough room for outside as well, but I will post on it again in the summer. The place can get pretty busy on Saturdays but they do a good job of serving quickly and politely.
All in all we enjoy this place a lot and they are located in Sidney, NY which isn’t far so we will visit probably many more times. If you can’t make the drive you can find their cans of cider at stores as well.
