Anniversary Trip Part 1

This year for my anniversary my husband planned a nice 3 day trip to multiple locations in upstate NY. We love going on little trips like this and it was very fun.

The first location was Animal Adventure park in Harpursville NY. This park is pretty close to home but we had never visited, I didn’t realize how big it was! There are a ton of animals I had never seen in person before, and many of them were active and even interactive. It was also very clean and didn’t have a bad smell that sometimes comes from many animals being together.

Its a place I am excited to go to again and was very cool.

I took so many more pictures, and then didn’t even take pictures of all the animals. It’s such a cool place and I recommend any animal lovers to go there. It is pretty kid friendly though it is a lot of walking and very little shade so keep that in mind.

I also want to add; people like to compare this place to Ross Park zoo and say how much better it is. Yes, Ross park has fewer animals and they tend to be less active, but Ross Park takes care of retired/sick animals many times, and does important work for animal conservation and care, so both places deserve your support.

Second place we went to was Aurora Brewing, Kings Ferry NY.

Flight of beer from Aurora

The beers were pretty good, though the best part of this place was the views and their epic nachos!

Pulled pork nachos

Third stop was War Horse Brewing, Geneva NY. This stop had several on site spots, including a winery and a coffee shop.

The beer and cider was very good, we also had some coffee - it was average. The whole place was very busy so we didn’t stay long and didn’t try the winery. But it is a cool place to visit, and would go again. Also, they had a hard cider slushy that was super good!

Last place on the first day was Bottomless Brewing.

This place was really cool and in a refurbished old barn, it was a nice atmosphere and the beer was very good. (Plus they had free popcorn)

First day down! Was a great day and a lot of fun. Will post more later on the other days.
